Compass Raises 450 Million in New Funding Round

SoftBank Vision Fund Invests $450 Million in Compass
Compass announced last Thursday that SoftBank Vision Fund, a Japanese technology company, is investing $450 million in the company. The Series E round brings Compass' valuation to 2.2 billion.
Just last month, Compass raised $100 million in a Series D round from Fidelity Investments, IVP, Wellington Management, and other global investors to expand.
According to Founder, Ori Allon, "The full Series E round puts us in a very healthy position to masterfully execute on our growth plans to bring Compass Everywhere and to become the largest real estate technology platform in the world."
Currently, Compass has 38 nationwide offices including the most recent in Chicago where its top-selling residential sales team joined Compass from Berkshire Hathaway.
